Michael Pollan visited Bridgewater State College this spring and local farmers Ron Maribett of Colchester Neighborhood Farm and Frank Albani of Golden Rule Farm, one of our partnership farmers, joined in a lunch time soiree where Pollan reinforced his strong interest in the local veggie diet.

It was a great pleasure to meet you at Bridgewater State College last week and to hear about Colchester Neighborhood Farm which sounds like a terrific place. You and your customers are important members of the gathering force that is the food movement, voting with your forks (and pitchforks) for a healthier, more sustainable and tastier way to eat.

The days are getting shorter, with this coming week’s Fall Equinox.  Yields are decreasing and the time is approaching to be harvesting everything and putting the fields to bed so they can rejuvenate over the winter.
