The days are getting shorter, with this coming week’s Fall Equinox. Yields are decreasing and the time is approaching to be harvesting everything and putting the fields to bed so they can rejuvenate over the winter.
Give a call if you can schedule some time to play at the farm… pull out plants, feed them to Dapple and the chickens, and do some end of the season harvesting and cover cropping. 781-588-4255
We have 2 young roosters in with the bunch of juvenile hens. They are maturing at an even rate…. the roosters started crowing on the same day that the egg production increased. Looks like we may be done with the rationing of eggs!… so if you’d like a whole dozen, you may have it!
We are looking for your left-overs. To tackle many projects as inexpensively as possible, we are hoping to recycle building materials. In particular, we are looking for scrap lumber that is four feet or longer, old hardware and leftover bundles of shingles. If you have other stuff that you think we might be able to use, please check with us before lugging it to the farm, we will let you know if it will be useful to us.
